The small town of Coggon is known as "The One and Only" because it is the only town in the world that bears the name.  This small town was known by several different names including Manhattan, Green's Mill and then Nugent's Grove which was shortened to simply Nugent.  It was changed one last time to Coggon and will likely never have another name change due to its uniqueness.  This quiet town in located near both Pinicon Ridge and Buffalo Creek Parks but is most well known for the 1953 tornado that damaged a significant portion of the northwestern part of town.
