In 1924, the small town of Midwest, WY was named. Originally named Home Camp, this little tent city was erected for the families of oil workers in the Salt Creek Oilfield. Located 40 miles north of Casper, the town of Midwest currently has approximately 261 residents. Midwest and the Salt Creek Oilfield have a long history within the oilfield, producing roughly one-fifth of the United States petroleum in the 1920’s.

A fascinating landmark in Midwest is the Salt Creek Museum, giving tourists and locals a look inside the history of this little town, including the infamous Teapot Dome Scandal from the early 1920’s. Also, the home of the DOE’s Rocky Mountain Oilfield Testing Center is located at the Teapot Dome as of 1993. Featuring the original white football, the Salt Creek Museum goes into the history about Midwest having the very first successful “Friday Night Lights”. With a friendly football game between Midwest and Casper, the Midwest Oil and Refining Company brought in giant floodlights, giving the workers, friends, and families the ability to participate in and witness a game at nighttime.

He was respectful of our home and went above and beyond in troubleshooting an issue we were having. I have to be honest last year when we had Servpro clean our dryer vent and house duct work we were not impressed. Steve and Ben cleaned my furnace and vents. The air vents were full of insulation. Unknown to me or ServPro prior to opening them. A three hour job turned into a 10 hour nightmare for Steve and Ben. The whole job they were cheerful, professional and very kind. The world would work a whole lot smoother with more young men like Steve and Ben. Not only did they do a thorough job but gave a guarantee they would come back if everything is not right.
