Lake Hallie was created in 1843 as a holding pond for Blue Mills. The Clark Hughes boat landing features a handicap accessible lot and boat launch. Lake Hallie is bordered by 14.4 square miles on the west by the Chippewa River which provides recreation to the area like boating and fishing. The lake, from which the village derives its name, is an oxbow lake near the Chippewa River between Eau Claire and Chippewa Falls.

The course rating is 68.3 with a slope rating of 124
