Near the Martin Luther King Junior Elementary School is Cahalan Park. Many students enjoy spending time there after finishing their homework, spending a good portion of their free time at the skate park portion. Nearby are several restaurants, like Applebee's and Pho King Crab. Over on Main Street at Yakima Street, on Sunday, December 8, the annual Old Town Lighted Christmas Parade. The parade will travel from there, heading north on Main Street and ending in the Sears parking lot around 7 PM. Santa will enjoy hot cocoa with guests before leaving for the North Pole.
