The town made an appearance in the television shows "Daniel Boone" and "How the West Was Won" and was a filming location for the major motion pictures "National Velvet" and "Drums Along the Mohawk."

Recreation

Duck Creek is near the Brian Head Ski Resort and Cedar Breaks National Monument. Other nearby attractions include Dixie National Forest, Cedar Mountain, Cascade Falls and Mammoth Cave. Visitors to the area will enjoy the beautiful mountain scenery and can participate in a variety of recreational activities year-round.

In the summer you can fish, hike, horseback ride, boat, camp and bike. The are numerous shops, restaurants, lodges, cabins, inns and campgrounds to explore. The town's most popular wintertime activity is snowmobiling. Visitors can find snowmobiles for rent from local businesses. Winter sports enthusiasts also enjoy snowshoeing, sledding, tubing and skiing. Anglers will find plenty of rainbow trout and the occasional tiger trout in the Duck Creek Reservoir.
