The small city of Arp is located in Smith County in upper east Texas on Highway 64 and 135. The city is situated southeast of Tyler, northeast of Troup, northwest of Henderson, and southwest of Kilgore. To the west lies Lake Tyler.

In the town of Arp they have 3 schools, an Elementary School, a Junior High School, and also Arp high school. Arp has the Bill Herrington Tiger Stadium where the high School football teams play and also the high school Marching band plays. The Red Dirt Hat Company lies on the right side of Arp.

When our house flooded, Servpro Team Shaw was quick to respond. Bobby Carter was there within an hour of the call (our call was at 0430) and his team soon their after. By mid-afternoon, they had the excess water completely out of the house and all the drying fans going. The level of service was remarkable!
