Located in the Back Mountain between Dallas/Harvey's Lake and Trucksville sits Shavertown, PA. Shavertown is a town in Kingston Township, Luzerne County, PA. It lies approximately 7 miles northwest of the city of Wilkes-Barre and 24 miles southwest of Scranton. With a population of just under 2,000, the residents enjoy a more rural area with nearby areas to hike and enjoy the outdoors.
