Pittston Township, Pennsylvania, named in honor of British Statesman William Pitt the Elder, was first settled in the late 1700s in the Wyoming Valley of Northeastern PA and started as a center for the mining and railway industries in the Valley after anthracite coal was discovered in the region. Originally named Pittstown, Pittston grew fast as more people emigrated to join the booming mining and railroad industries. As the population rose, so did the towns and houses. Pittston today doesn't boast as many residents as it once did in the past, but the remnants of its extraordinary history remain. From the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport and the towering spires of Protestant and Roman Catholic churches such as St. John the Evangelist and St. John the Baptist to the Firefighters' Memorial Bridge, Pittston's roots are still proudly on display!

Amazing service! Showed up within an hour of reaching out to them after 600 PM. Brought in all the needed equipment to dry out the floors in our house after a major water leak. Stayed onto of it for 5 days until the subfloor was completely dry. A big concern was mold however they sprayed and sealed the wood to ensure that would not be a problem. Josiah and his team were nothing but curious and made us feel much better about our situation. Hats off to him and the ServPro team.
