Debris containing odor-causing residues will continue to give off odors. That’s why we deal with the source of the odor first.
Clean Residues From Surfaces
After the source of the odor is removed, it’s important to thoroughly clean surfaces to deodorize them effectively. If not properly cleaned, tiny particles of the odor-causing residues will continue to smell.
Recreate the Conditions That Caused Odor Penetration
We apply deodorizer in a method similar to how the odor-causing substances originally penetrated a surface. If smoke created the smell, for instance, deodorizing smoke or fog might be most effective.

Roni Adams of ServPro was out to our home on July 31, 2024, to check out the water damage cause by a dishwasher hose failure. SERVPRO responded to our call for help immediately. Austin Plaster was the lead of the crew that came out, and went right to work getting our basement back to the the way it was! Austin’s fast response saved us from having to file a claim with insurance, and minimizing the work that needed to be done. Hopefully we will never need their service again, but if needed we will be calling SERVPRO for sure. We highly recommend their service.
