New Baltimore is a small city located in Macomb County, Michigan, and it is a northern suburb of Metro Detroit situated on Lake St. Clair's shores. The city of New Baltimore was incorporated as a village in 1867 and as a City in 1931. Today there are 12,117 people and 4434 households, with 3187 families living in the city. 

Each year residents can weigh in on the annual fall Scarecrow Contest. Scarecrows are displayed for voting at Downtown New Baltimore businesses along Washington and Green from October 1 to November 2.   

The New Baltimore Recreation Center hosts many community events, adult sports, baseball, and summer camps. Other areas for outdoor recreation include Walter and Mary Burke Park and Brandenburg Park.  

Snow, thunderstorms, lightning, high winds, and Lake Effect snow are examples of weather events. The city gets 29 inches of rain, 32 inches of snow and enjoys 183 sunny days annually.
