After the source of the odor is removed, it’s important to thoroughly clean surfaces to deodorize them effectively. If not properly cleaned, tiny particles of the odor-causing residues will continue to smell.
Recreate the Conditions That Caused Odor Penetration
We apply deodorizer in a method similar to how the odor-causing substances originally penetrated a surface. If smoke created the smell, for instance, deodorizing smoke or fog might be most effective.

We recently reached out to Servpro of the Lower Shore to help in our roof replacement project. A layer of cedar shakes had to be removed, and we knew it would be a mess in our attic. Ian Haney came out and evaluated our attic "collection", helped clear out unneeded stored items, and then he and his helper came back and spent nearly 2 days cleaning out the cedar shakes that had fallen in.
