SERVPRO’s 4-Step Odor Removal Process
Remove the Odor Source
Debris containing odor-causing residues will continue to give off odors. That’s why we deal with the source of the odor first.
Clean Residues From Surfaces
After the source of the odor is removed, it’s important to thoroughly clean surfaces to deodorize them effectively. If not properly cleaned, tiny particles of the odor-causing residues will continue to smell.
Recreate the Conditions That Caused Odor Penetration
We apply deodorizer in a method similar to how the odor-causing substances originally penetrated a surface. If smoke created the smell, for instance, deodorizing smoke or fog might be most effective.
Seal Surfaces Exposed To Unpleasant Odors
Severe situations may require sealing if odor removal would be insufficient.
Commercial Odor Removal Services
Removing persistent smells from your commercial property—office, warehouse, hospital, apartments, and more—can be quite a challenge. Unpleasant smells can drive customers away and make things difficult for employees. Getting rid of the odor, completely and quickly, can avoid interruption of your normal operations.
Our uniquely trained professionals will work with you to get your company smelling fresh and back to business as quickly as possible, keeping downtime and lost revenue to a minimum.
What our
customers are saying
After our basement flooded, we contacted ServPro to perform mitigation. The company responded promptly, thoroughly, and took every effort to proceed professionally. They are a very experienced team, capable of advising accurately on many fronts. I highly recommend their services and staff.
Rick As you know, my family was in the process of selling our house. When the inspection came back, some items needed to be mitigated due to possible water intrusion or high humidity in my basement. I had a very short period to perform such services, so reaching out to your company, Servepro, was the best thing I did. When I reached out to Servepro, your team led by Daniel responded promptly and came over to my house to assess the situation. The estimates were sent to me in a timely manner, allowing me to make quick decisions. The work was scheduled and performed promptly, and I was kept informed of the next steps and the daily work schedule. This level of communication and efficiency was truly reassuring. I was very impressed by your and DJ’s professionalism in helping guide me through this process. There were numerous emails and telephone calls at all hours of the day and, honestly, on weekends, and everybody from Servpro treated me like I was their highest priority. I can't thank you enough, and for anybody reading this, Servpro is the company to call if you have a need.
Shortly after Christmas in 2022 we had a pipe freeze and break when it thawed at our Deepcreek second home. The water flowed for four days about 30,000 gallons. Many homes in Deepcreek had similar problems that year. Our insurance company recommended ServPro. They responded to my call the day I called. They had a crew out the next day even though it was a weekend. They pulled the carpet on Sunday to minimize the moisture in the house. The dry out was extensive since we had special flooring to support radiant heat. They worked diligently to dry out the structure and jumped through hoops to get storage PODS to move contents out of the house and a dumpster for demolition. Since so many homes were damaged in Garrett county MD that weekend due to the extreme cold weather (-20) the PODS and dumpsters were scarce. They did the demo and remediation efficiently. After the rebuild they were very responsive to unpack the POD and move the contents back into the house. I highly recommend ServePro and want to specially thank DJ and Tim.
Daniel Guy and his crew were at our home within 2 hours of our call. They took away all our worries, handled all the details regarding damage and loss and left us feeling grateful for their services. Look nowhere else, Servpro of Grantsville are THE go-to company for your issues. Thank you ALL for taking such good care of us.
These guys are excellent. I had a mold issue and called them. They have me a ton of free advice on a Friday night. I will use them for all future remediation needs.
What a wonderful company. They came in cleaned up and was gone. Recommend highly
The team did a very professional job! They took pictures of everything destroyed and provided me an electronic copy of all the photos so I could complete my insurance company's form which required details only I could supply. I would definitely use them again. The basement was restored to new condition with no hint of water damage.
The team over at SERVPRO is courteous and helpful, and really turned a bad situation into a positive for my family. Their attention to detail and ability to work with my insurance company made everything so much easier. I would recommend SERVRPRO of Garrett to anyone with a problem big or small. The team there is great !
