Bibb City Cleanup and Restoration

Did you know that SERVPRO's can handle textiles. From cleaning couches, drapes, and then to sending out linens to a 3rd party if necessary. Well thankfully, Bibb City, is well known for their textiles. In 1909, Bibb City was incorporated and was being managed by the Bibb Manufacturing Company. Which operated on of the largest textile mills in the surrounding areas of the Southeast region. Sadly, in 1998, the mill closed, which would late cause the dissolvement of the charter in December 7, 2000.

FIRE DAMAGE:

With the Mill being closed down in the late 90's the building sat for many years as vacant and then turning into storage. Sadly, 8 years later on October 30th, 2008 the mill caught fire, and was destroyed. The entire city area, consisting of historic Columbus Mill area and the associated mill village owned by the Bibb Manufacturing Company was a major role play for employment for the city.

Moving into the 2000's the old Mill areas have been bought out and local business are now reopening the buildings. From small businesses to loft rentals. You can see some of the Apartments and Business off the river walk at the following website: https://www.loftsatriverwalk.com/

The SERVPRO's in the areas will be offering services to these building. From Emergency Ready Plans to assisting when claims take place. Fire Damages, Water Damages, Mold Damages, and Reconstruction is something that the area will face and is something that SERVPRO will be able to assist them with when the time comes.
